Dahlia Garden Walk

Love House Dahlias annually has an open house dahlia garden walk. In 2010 the open house walk will be on September 4, 5, and 6, each day from 9 AM to 6 PM. The gardens are always open to walk by appointment. We hope you'll come by!

DAHLIA MEETING

July 11, 2010 7:00 P.M. Our first ever dahlia meeting! The closest dahlia society to us is in Palos Verdes and while we do attend the meetings and show it would be nice to have something a little closer to home. It is a chance to get together with fellow dahlia worshipers and get all your questions answered. Dahlia people are a great bunch to be with whether to share a triumph from the garden or commiserate over a failure. The meeting will be here at the farm with refreshments provided.

August 8, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. It's fair time! Most of you either ordered or got as a bonus the variety named Korb Summer Gala. Bring your best blooms and some vases and we will show you how to stage your blooms to enter in the Ventura County Fair or a dahlia show. Then we will judge them and declare a winner! The stems must have a pair of leaves. We will show you what judges look for and some tricks of the trade. If you didn’t get a Korb Summer Gala and want one give us a call.

Learn to listen to what you body is telling you - which pains are GOOD and which ones are BAD. Michael Curran is a certified Restorative Exercise Specialist and Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner.
